Frequently Asked Questions

What is Zipnosis?

Zipnosis is the most affordable and accessible healthcare available today. We combine bulletproof medicine with every-day technology to reduce costs to patients and improve margins for our provider partners. By sticking to common conditions that can be safely and accurately diagnosed without a physical examination, we're able to connect patients and clinicians online.

Our proprietary technology makes healthcare accessible anywhere, anytime — and by removing insurance requirements, we can offer affordable treatment to anyone. We are defining digital medicine.

What conditions do you treat?

You can use Zipnosis for the following:

  • Common Cold
  • Influenza (flu)
  • Sinusitis
  • Strep Throat
  • Allergies
  • Female Bladder Infection
  • Female Yeast Infection
  • Cold/Canker Sores
  • Mild Acne
  • Quit Smoking

We’ve been careful to select only health conditions that can be safely diagnosed and treated online. If an online diagnosis is not right for you, we will direct you to the care you need.

Who makes the diagnosis?

Once you are done with the interview, a board-certified clinician from your state will review your symptoms and develop a treatment plan unique to you. Our software makes your visit fast and affordable while helping clinicians focus on what they do best: practice medicine – not paper work.

How long does it take?

A Zipnosis takes about 5 minutes to complete. Because the software adapts to your answers, just like a clinician, the total number of questions you answer will depend on your condition.

When can I do a Zipnosis?

Our clinicians will respond between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm but you may complete a Zipnosis 24/7.

What does my Zipnosis cost?

Each Zip costs $25 and you can pay with a credit card or a health savings account card (HSA). We partner with several companies to offer Zipnosis at a reduced cost to their employees. Check with your employer to see if Zipnosis is provided through your health care plan.

Is it covered by insurance?

Your receipt can be submitted to your insurance company, but we cannot guarantee you will be reimbursed.

Can I get a prescription?

Zipnosis clinicians are board certified and can prescribe medications if you need them. We treat minor health conditions, and do not provide prescriptions for pain medications or narcotics. Zipnosis is not an online pharmacy. You are responsible for the cost of any prescriptions, over the counter treatments, or follow-up- visits you may need.

How safe is my personal information?
